Both of our instructors are BASEC teachers and sports journalists that met as students at Boston University. Along with their respective work with ESPN, they now run a sports and culture site entitled SuiteSports.com. The site has grown steadily, and they recently brought on Boston sportscasting legend Bob Lobel. Learn a little bit more about our teachers below.
Joe Parello
A teacher with both BASEC at Burbank and Chenery, Joe also works as a written and video sports reporter for ESPN Boston and several other Massachusetts-based sports websites. Prior to his time at ESPN, Joe served as the sports editor for Central Mass start up GoLocalWorcester, and currently does a weekly internet radio show with Boston sports institution Bob Lobel every Thursday at noon.
A graduate of Purdue University before earning his Master's at Boston University, Joe hopes to teach students the multimedia skills of a modern journalist.

Jeremy Conlin
Jeremy serves as a teacher with BASEC at Chenery and ran the program's ESPN Sports Writing workshop this past fall. Along with his work at Chenery, Jeremy has worked as a freelance web producer for New England Cable News, a freelance writer for BuzzFeed Sports, and a contributing writer to both the ESPN TrueHoop Network and Hickory-High (now a property of USA Today Sports).
A true stat-nerd, Jeremy hopes to teach students the basics of statistics and informed opinion writing.
